In the overall Prosperity Index rankings, Pakistan has climbed by 2 positions from 139 to 137 when compared to last year. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2006, Pakistan has moved up the rankings table by 5 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Pakistan performs best on Governance and Economic Quality and scores lowest on the Natural Environment pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Social Capital increasing by 24 places, whereas they dropped 10 places on Economic Quality.
