In the overall Prosperity Index rankings, Kenya has fallen by 3 positions from 96 to 99 when compared to last year. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2006, Kenya has moved down the rankings table by 3 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Kenya performs best on Social Capital and Business Environment and scores lowest on the Safety & Security pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Business Environment increasing by 13 places, whereas they dropped 8 places on Governance.
