In the overall Prosperity Index rankings, Jamaica has remained consistent when compared to last year. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2006, Jamaica has moved up the rankings table by 3 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Jamaica performs best on Social Capital and Business Environment and scores lowest on the Safety & Security pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Safety & Security increasing by 10 places, whereas they dropped 5 places on Business Environment.
