In the overall Prosperity Index rankings, Indonesia has climbed by 2 positions from 61 to 59 when compared to last year. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2006, Indonesia has moved up the rankings table by 21 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Indonesia performs best on Social Capital and Governance and scores lowest on the Personal Freedom pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Business Environment increasing by 14 places, whereas they dropped 7 places on Safety & Security.
